Professor Zhang Xiaoling, vice president of China National Academy of Art chaired the forum. Ms. Rhana Devenport, Director of the Govett-Brewstger Art Gallery talked about her understanding of “Public art in beautiful countryside” through the perspective of Australian and New Zealand ‘s experience.

Ms. Rhana Devenport said: "There are three issues to be discussed. First, why shoud we do public art? Second, who created the public art and why? Third, who would care about public art? We must consider what is the motivation of the creation of public art and how to link with audiences. Today I want to use the example of New Zealand to talk about a special and close relationship between landscape and sculpture. "
