Judging Criteria for the first Award 
Research criteria:

• project that has been completed 1 January 2006 to 30 September 2011.
• Raise expectation of art in place making by being innovative, distinctive, risk-taking, forward thinking.
• Creating an integrated vision derived from the existing context and relevance. The context should inform the content.
• Participation and engagement

Judging criteria:

• World changing
• Changing the parameters of place making
• Extraordinary
• Artistic excellence

Project goals:

• Promote awareness, and advocate, the role of art in place making.
• Promote discussion and advocacy of best practice in place making.
• Encourage research about art and place making.
• Influence educational institutions and governmental agencies.

Stimulate the creation of high quality art and place making.
